Egg Spoon - Thistle End - Two Carded

These two individually chosen, handcrafted egg spoons are presented on an Abbeyhorn card, the handle is adorned with the Scottish emblem.

The spoon derives its name from an ancient word meaning chip of wood or horn, carved from a larger piece. Both horn and wooden spoons were easy to carve and thus inexpensive, making them common throughout history.
As horn does not take on the taste of foods it makes it an ideal substance to create eating utensils.

Would make a great gift for grandchildren.
